Is there a reason I spend valuable time writing about scripture and posting into this blog?
Yes, there is…

After spending over thirty years in the Mainstream church, I had a severe crisis in my life.  I found myself staring at my fifteen year old son in a coma on life support. And he was not expected to make it. In fact, homicide detectives showed up at 3am and declared his body a crime scene. That’s pretty bad.
(Here is a link to a detailed account of this event:  My Testimony)

February 1, 2014  is the day I learned to submit to Yehova (God). Wholly and completely.
February 1, 2014 is the day I learned to pray.  For Real.

Yes, I’d been praying for decades. But my prayers were a hopeful request, sprinkled with a bit of doubt.
On February 1, 2014 I learned to pray with faith. I learned to pray with expectation. I learned to pray with belief. I learned to pray like the centurion.

Around the same time, I discovered this wonderful passage in the book of James:

James 1:5-8
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;  he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Even though my son was brain dead and homicide detectives had begun their investigation, he was up walking and talking just twelve hours later.  The neuro-physician in ICU said he was a miracle, and there was no medical explanation for him to survive, let alone to be in perfect health.

While this was a horrific experience for my family, I am eternally grateful for it.  It is the day I learned to communicate with Yehova (God, Adonai, Elohim, YHWH).  It is the day I learned about faith. For Real.

Since then, I pray for Yehova’s knowledge and wisdom, just like He promises to give us in James 1.  And I believe what He reveals.
I will spend as much time as it takes to share what He reveals to me. I will share it with anyone who will listen.
Thank you for reading and considering my writings.
