Deuteronomy 13
The Test of a False Prophet
13 “Whatever I command you, you must take care to do—you are not to add to it or take away from it.
2 “Suppose a prophet or a dreamer of dreams rises up among you and gives you a sign or wonder, 3 and the sign or wonder he spoke to you comes true, while saying, ‘Let’s follow other gods’—that you have not known, and—‘Let’s serve them!’ 4 You must not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams—for Adonai your God is testing you, to find out whether you love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 5 Adonai your God you will follow and Him you will fear. His mitzvot you will keep, to His voice you will listen, Him you will serve and to Him you will cling. 6 That prophet or dreamer of dreams must be put to death! For he has spoken falsehood against Adonai your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to entice you from the way Adonai your God commanded you to walk. So you will purge the evil from your midst.
With this test of a false prophet in mind, does “Mainstream Jesus” pass the test?
The mainstream church teaches that Jesus did away with the law. This one characteristic of ‘mainstream Jesus’ disqualifies him. This one characteristic is in opposition to everything that Yehova stands for. Deuteronomy 13 tells us that mainstream Jesus is a false prophet.
Yeshua Messiah (or Jesus, if that is the name you know and prefer), as described in scripture, is NOT a false prophet. He is the son of the living Elohim, and He is our Savior.
Please do not think I am denying Messiah.
I am not.
I am simply pointing out that the Jesus followed by the mainstream church is a false god. Not my opinion, but simply what scripture tells us.
I know this is not a popular idea, Jeremiah predicted this situation:
Jeremiah 16:19-20
19 O Lord, my strength and my fortress,
My refuge in the day of affliction,
The Gentiles shall come to You
From the ends of the earth and say,
“Surely our fathers have inherited lies,
Worthlessness and unprofitable things.”
20 Will a man make gods for himself,
Which are not gods?
Jeremiah speaks of a time when our “religious system” will realize they have been taught nothing but lies.
We are there.
We are seeing this before our very eyes.
What is the result of this?
Men will make up their own gods, except they are not gods.
And if they are not gods, then they cannot grant salvation.
Mainstream Jesus fails the test of a false prophet, and therefore he is a made up god as Jeremiah describes.
John tells us that Yeshua Messiah is the word become flesh.
John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Messiah of scripture and the Word are one and the same, and they must match exactly.
Mainstream Jesus does not match the Word.
Mainstream Jesus is NOT the Word become flesh.
Mainstream Jesus is a made up god that Jeremiah referred to in verse 20 above.
What do you believe?
Scripture?
Or the teachings of men?
With this idea in mind, what happens to those who follow a false prophet? Do they “get a pass” because their teacher taught them false information?
To be fair, they should get a pass, right?
That would be man’s response.
But what does scripture say about it?
Are we given any examples to follow?
During Messiah’s ministry on this earth, there was a “religious establishment”.
The educated religious leaders of His time were considered the experts. They are the ones who had education in the scriptures. They are the ones who taught doctrine to the people.
What did Messiah say about them and the people who follow their teachings?
Matthew 23:13
“But woe to you, Torah scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut people out of the kingdom of heaven. For you do not enter yourselves, nor do you let those enter who are trying to go in.
Messiah Himself says the religious leaders of His time are not going to enter heaven and neither will the people they teach.
This is a direct quote of Messiah, not something I think or made up.
Do you believe what He says?
Here is another direct quote of Messiah about false teachers and their followers:
Matthew 15:13-15
13 But He replied, “Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. 14 Leave them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
If a church leader does not know the truth, and teaches others false teachings, they both fall into the pit.
Messiah (in various direct quotes) is very clear about people who teach falsely, and Messiah is also very clear about those who accept and follow these false teachings.
It is not for us to decide the fate of the mainstream church, and others who follow false teachers.
It is up to Messiah, for He and He alone has all authority in heaven and on earth [Matthew 28:18]. And the things Messiah says is not favorable for the false teachers and their followers.
For example, here is another direct quote of Messiah:
“Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and drive out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?’ 23 Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
People who reject the Torah will claim to follow Him, but He does not know them. He tells them to depart from Him.
Do you understand the significance of being rejected by the only entity who can grant salvation?
Do you understand the significance of this?
If we do not know and understand the character of Yehova, and accept His instructions for us, then we are not part of the kingdom.
If we do not know and understand the character of Yeshua Messiah, and accept His instructions for us, then we are not part of the kingdom.
These are not my thoughts and ideas. This is what Messiah tells us in blatant honesty.
Do we hear His voice?
Do we listen to Him?
Or do we ignore Him and decide for ourselves what we will think and believe?
John 10:27-28
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
Again, I have no animosity for the mainstream church.
I pray for them to understand.
I pray they will study scripture and pray for Yehova’s understanding, as we are promised in James 1:5-8.
All we have to do is ask, and then believe when He reveals it to us.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
There is another aspect so obvious that most people don’t see it. Jeremiah 8:8 8“How do you say, ‘We are wise and the Torah of Yahuah is with us’? But look, the false pen of the scribe has worked falsehood.
The letter J has never existed in the Hebrew language. In fact, the letter J didn’t exist in any language until the latter part of the 16th century. Just in time to deceive the masses with a false name for the Messiah Yahusha. Thus the religions of man cause it’s members to break the first and third commandments.
1. 1. I AM Yahuah YOUR Elohim. HAVE NO OTHER BEFORE MY FACE.
3. 3. you do not CAST THE Name OF Yahuah YOUR Elohim TO RUIN.
This is powerful!
Agreed! It is powerful when we look at what scripture says, instead of going with feelings and emotions.
This is a very difficult subject to present to others.
But it is necessary.
Very few have considered this idea, and most of those who have, actually reject it.
Thanks for the encouragement!!
