People go to church looking for the path that leads to everlasting life. Can they find it there?
From Exodus 31
Therefore you are to keep the Shabbat [Sabbath], because it is holy for you. Everyone who profanes it will die, for whoever does any work during Shabbat, that soul will be cut off from the midst of his people. 15 Work is to be done for six days, but on the seventh day is a Shabbat of complete rest, holy to Yehova. Whoever does any work on the Shabbat will surely be put to death.
Yehova tells us that if we do not honor His Sabbath, that we will die.
The mainstream church says, “Nah, not really. We don’t have to do that anymore.”
It sounds a bit like this:
Genesis 3:4
4 The serpent said to the woman, “You most assuredly won’t die! 5 For God knows that when you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Is this why Yeshua Messiah calls the educated religious leaders a pit of vipers in Matthew 23? Are educated religious leaders who are false teachers being compared to the serpent in the garden?
If religious leaders teach death by defying the words of Yehova, then what happens?
Matthew 23:13 tells us…
“But woe to you, Torah scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut people out of the kingdom of heaven. For you do not enter yourselves, nor do you let those enter who are trying to go in.
Those religious leaders will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, nor will their followers.
This is a big deal.
The church teaches the law is done away with.
Messiah says to them, “I never knew you. Depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.”
The churches teach the Sabbath is not something to honor or obey. It is old and obsolete.
Yehova said it is a perpetual covenant, for all generations, and that anyone who profanes it will surely die.
Churches teach death.
Jeremiah warns of this:
Jeremiah 16:19-20
19 Yehova, my strength, my stronghold,
my refuge in the day of affliction,
to You will the nations come
from the ends of the earth and say:
“Our fathers have inherited nothing
but lies, futility and useless things.”
20 Will man make gods for himself?
Yet they are not gods.
Lies that are worthless and unprofitable.
Resulting in made up gods.
Made up gods cannot grant salvation.
